Sulfuric Acid

• Sulfuric Acid (H₂SO₄): Made by burning sulfur to produce SO₂. SO₂ is oxidized to SO₃ and reacted with water to produce sulfuric acid.  Sulfuric acid is used to "digest" or dissolve phosphate rock containing the nutrient phosphorus to make phosphoric acid.
